1974 BMW 2002 Tii Lux, being returned to original Mint Green.
Exceptionally good, original interior.
Indicated mileage 94,500, believed correct.
History file and previous M.O.T. certificates.
Very rare Mahle BBS alloys.

The Black Tii carries on its journey to the one zone.
Front wings and bumper removed, headlights and grilles removed, fabricated new panels and repairs to the inner support panel (rifle butts) and A-posts all butt welded and ground back like new again.
Front panel spot welds exposed and drilled out, time consuming but the only way to get the new panel in exactly the right place, It should make removing the engine and gearbox a little easier. Body Mouldings removed along with rear bumper and rear lights, also fuel tank.
New front floors required, also new front panel, and boot floor. BMW replacement panels are not cheap, but they are still available.
Remove boot floor ready for welding in new boot floor panel.
Engine removed and degreased, ready to have the Kugelfischer pump and injectors removed, tested and refurbished.
Engine bay now stripped of wiring loom, fuse box and all electric components, brake lines, servos, master cylinders etc.
We have had a busy couple of weeks, corrosion cut out of A posts and inner support panels, fabrication and repairs welded and primed.
Corroded drivers floor and chassis rail cut out and new floor repair panels ready to weld in.
Some big steps forward, both new front floor panels welded in and throttle pedal stop refitted.
Front floors, chassis rails and inner sills finished, old boot floor removed ready for new panel.
New boot floor fitted, inner sills ready for primer, paint and filler removed from rear arches. New outer sills, rear arches and lower quarter panels ordered.
It all takes time to do it right, drilling out the original spot welds ready for new outer sills. New inner and outer wheel arches and lower quarter panels ready for fitting, this side is starting to take shape now. Filler and rot replaced with new metal, to get the car structurally safe and sound again.
Looking good on the right side now, all new panels butt & puddle welded in place.
Right side finished and primed, repairs to the left side inner sills and new outer sills also new inner and outer wheel arches, finished and primed. All glass and body mouldings removed, now on with removing the rot in the doors and welding with new metal. Soda blaster next.
Back from soda blasting, back to bare metal, old paint and rust removed. Ready for the new front panel to be welded on.
New front panel lined up and welded in with first fitting of new front wings, next journey will be to the paint shop.
Front and rear suspension removed and body shell off to the paint shop, meanwhile the suspension has been stripped, cleaned and painted, bushes and joints checked and replaced as necessary.
After several weeks in the paint shop the body shell is back in its original Mint Green, at the client's request. Now the re-assembly begins, using new parts as and where necessary.
Re-assembly nearing completion, new stainless steel exhaust system fitted.
99% finished now and looking fabulous in Mint Green. Just some outstanding trim items and final adjustments needed.
